I have just finished reading The Blended Learning Toolkit: Improving Student Performance and Retention which starts out with some stats about online, Face-2-Face and blended. It does a good job of highlighting some work at UCF about a blended toolkit ("Blended" is just the gray space between fully F2F and Fully-Online).
